don't tempt me!
The plot is between Chequers (the PM's country house) & Windsor Castle so we could spell out all sorts of political points using the medium of vegetables for the PM to read when he's enroute to visit auntie Liz. :devilish:
The things I could write out in carrots would make a docker blush!

Oh dear! ;)
Might you then get a visit from the constable?

Nah you get a visit from these people, and you dont mess with these people :)

PHRA LAK - SUPPORT Usiren Free in WAR with CZ’s and War Missions
WOLF 433 - SUPPORT The Dark Wheel in ELECTIONS with Election Missions

86 MU HERCULIS - Colanja Gold Power Services, Missions for INF, want to put them above the native factions
ANYANWU - Alliance of LTT 5419, Missions for INF, want to put them above the native factions
HR 4979 - Nuenets Corp, Missions for INF, want to put them above the native factions, Will trigger a conflict that we want them to win, this will also lower TDW back to <65%
LHS 397 - Revolutionary Party of Tiapalan, Missions for INF, want keep them from retreating and to put them above the native factions
TURDETANI - Bruthanvan Co, Missions for INF, want to put them above the native factions
LAVE - Any missions for TDW, we want to be #2 in system at ~20% INF

Commodity Trading:

Exploration Data:
Hand in at 86 MU HERCULIS - Gauss Platform OR Scheutz Hub (Small/Med Pads)
Hand in at LFT 926 - Meredith City (All Pads)
Hand in at ROSS 154 - Birkeland City (All Pads)

General Remarks:
  • All TDW Controlled Systems: Until a planned expansion is announced, TDW should have no greater than 65% INF to avoid any unintended expansions.
  • LAVE - TDW is to be #2, ~20% below Lave Radio Network
  • WOLF 433 - TDW is to be #2, well below LHS 2541 Alliance Combine, ~20% is ideal
  • ARQUE - TDW is a guest of Alliance Rapid-reaction Corps, no work required here
  • As a general rule, when factions in a TDW system are in conflict, we want the native faction (Blue N by their name in Inara when looking at the system) to LOSE. Where two non-native factions conflict, neither winner is “desired”, depending on INF level after the conflict, we would likely boost the LOSER to avoid retreat (happens at 2.5% or lower). Two native factions in conflict can be ignored and their INF in the system can be addressed after the conflict ends.

Please continue to use EDMC or similar tools to keep local data up to date.

Keep Turning The Wheel, Hamsters!

It's looking increasingly unlikely that the expansion from 9 Puppis will be completed before Odyssey drops on the 19th. If, as I supect will happen, the BGS goes haywire, do we have a contingency plan? Or is it a case of 'suck it and see'?

I can't help but think that FDev are now completely bound up with their own Odyssey-driven ground-based story arcs, and will be for quite a while. Supporting player-driven narrative is probably so far down their priorities as to be subterranean. Will it be worth continuing to 'Turn the Wheel' under such circumstances?

Not that I'm a pessimist of course, or one for giving up - just a realist with a long history of observing FDev's (in)actions.

From what I saw in the Alpha, while it's going to take them a while to figure out how things like ground CZs and exobiology should be balanced for BGS impact and that will cause some instability, the really big thing is that the addition of tens of new contestable surface assets to every system is going to make it very easy for systems to be locked in constant conflict pairs between most of the factions, which will make moving influence around for expansions more difficult, and make conflicts blocking invasion more common.

That should be manageable but might take some getting used to.

Actual haywire like the Fleet Carriers update did ... well, that could go in any direction, you can't plan for that, you've just got to figure out what's going on quickly enough to take advantage.

Hmmm... Presumably this is potentially going to drastically slow down the expansion process?

Hmmm... Presumably this is potentially going to drastically slow down the expansion process?
That will be very system-dependent. Likely most severe in higher-traffic systems ... less of an issue in ones where there's a runaway influence leader and most factions are below 7% most of the time anyway ... based on what happened just after the 3.3 release before they made the "conflicts must be about something" rule.

Do all you can to get this one at least Pending before Odyssey goes live, though!
