Multiple objects but only one material

Hey,
I would like to know, if any of you got an idea on how to solve this.
I got a 3d object, which is made out of two objects. Now those two objects have the same material assigned.

How do i set the textures? I cant uv unwrap them together. Since the TMT only works on material level I would need to create two different materials for each object.
I tried a workaround with two materials but it somehow fails with the flexicolor.
Here are my png files. My materials are called Iron and Iron2

Unbenannt.PNG

If I change Iron2_F2 to Iron2_F1 it works without error but I only get one color. If I leave it like this I get this error: [IncorrectTextureMask] "No shader uses this combination of textures"

Thanks in advance

Hi, why can't you unwrap them together? I remember working in 3ds max, selecting all objects and then applying the unwrap UV modifier will allow me to unwrap all objects in the same UV space.
Unfortunately i do not know if it works similar in Blender because i have never used Blender.

Yes you can unwrap them together in Blender. Both of your objects need to have the same material and the same UV map name, and voilà !

Right now I think your error is due to the fact that you must rename "Iron2_F2" into "Iron2_F1"
